Description
This 1956 Citroën 11C Commerciale is said to have remained with its original owner in southern France until 1984, when it was imported to the US and soon changed hands again before the seller’s purchase the following year. Soon thereafter, the 1,911cc inline-four was rebuilt at Dave Burnham Citroën in Delanson, New York. The car has since been relocated to New Mexico, and additional work performed under current ownership has included a repaint, an interior re-trim, and installation of an electric fuel pump. An upward-opening rear liftgate and a folding rear seat are features unique to the model, and the car is further equipped with a three-speed manual transaxle, rack-and-pinion steering, drum brakes, red-finished metric steel wheels, and Jaeger gauges. This Traction Avant Commerciale is now offered with a workshop manual, spare parts, and a New Mexico title in the seller’s name.
